Northants Personal Training And Lifestyle Coaching
The first struggle of our members is…
I lack the commitment and motivation.
The trouble with waiting for motivation is it will take a long time. The best kind of motivation comes from actually doing something. It doesn’t have to be anything huge, but it should be something that will take you towards your goal.
The first couple of weeks is always going to be the hardest and that where peoples where people usually give up because they are impatient to see results.
Eventually over time, when you start to see results after making those SMALL, progressive changes, that’s where the BIG motivation comes in. It’s where you start to really get into it because you’ve just realised that what you were doing made results after all….making you want to do it even more!
Its likewise with commitment.
We always say that best diet in the world is the one that works for you.
Your meal plan should not be something that’s printed off by a personal trainer because everyone else on social media was doing it so I why shouldn’t you.
We all say each humans body is different and unique, so why aren’t we given and different and unique plan? Ill tell you why.
Karen went online and found a weight loss meal plan that just happens to work for her amazingly and allowed her to eat carbs! Karen lost 2st in 3 months! Because of the outstanding results, she was committed to this way of eating. She kept seeing results which motivated her to do even better!
Sounds like the perfect plan right! So Jess thought “Damn that sounds awesome I cant wait! Get me on that meal plan now!”
Little did Jess know that she was intolerant to carbs. And whilst she was working her butt off for months trying to stick this plan, her weight wouldn’t budge! So diet, after diet, after diet, Jess eventually gave up.
That was until she met a member of the LPT team who helped work out why she couldn’t lose weight. They discussed why she tried so many diets but none seem to work!
The LPT team member did everything he could to find out what Jess needed. Eventually they managed to derive a plan based around her lifestyle. “Wicked cant wait to get started!” Said Jess.
Before Jess was about to dive in and get started. The team member said something, they said “the most important thing to remember before you start; Be patient; Don’t give up”.
People don’t want to know about the real long term results. All they care about is the quick fixes and the I WANT IT NOW mind-set. Unfortunately, you’re only then setting yourself up failure. Quick fixes only end up rebounding on you and you’ll find yourself in an endless bound of circles with different diets and no results.
If you’re struggling for motivation, ask your self these three questions
- Have you got a goal?
- Have you written that goal down somewhere?
- Is that goal is realistic?
The next topic is about nutrition.
We get a lot of how, when, why, what to eats.
The thing is, no one can really give you a set meal plan if no one knows anything about your dislikes, likes and intolerances. We can tell you what’s good and bad to eat but YOU are the one who knows your lifestyle and when you have to time to eat.
So again the best diet is one that you can build yourself and that works for you which also gives you a sense of achievement! Also no one will know that plan better than you as its yours!
Your questions and struggles…
